Environmental and Event Photographer offering workshop and artistic photographic services throughout Maine and on Culebra Island
Welcome to my blog!
I am full time resident of coastal Maine, and spend several weeks of the winter on a small island in the Caribbean. I have a special affinity for the beauty of nature’s ever changing landscapes and vistas and the reflections of life and death caught in moments in time. I consider my art successful if the viewer wants to become part of the photograph, even if only for the short amount of time it took for the shutter to capture the moment. I am especially fond of hiking and photographing the great outdoors in all four seasons.
I am a member of the Boothbay Region Art Foundation, Maine Art Gallery, Five Rivers Art Alliance, and River Arts. I serve as a Board of Director of both Rising Tide Community Market and Boothbay Region Community TV. I enjoy teaching students, both new and repeat the joys of photography and look forward to the few workshops I can schedule during the year. I also thrive meeting other artists and seeing new work, and believe my art is enhanced through these interactions and is constantly evolving. My work has been shown in many galleries and shows including the Maine Photography Show as well as being published in several publications.
When I’m not behind my beloved camera shooting or teaching, I am in my gallery in Boothbay Harbor or selling a variety of hot sauces and seasonings. I am actively involved in the environmental and sustainable living movements and believe we are all responsible for doing our own little part.
